(Wyeth collection affixed to GH 55838) and C. caespitosa Nutt. (Wyeth collection affixed to unnumbered sheet at PH), but did not designate the type of Stenotus armerioides Nutt. Hall may not have seen the specimen from Nuttall's herbarium (Nuttall collection affixed to BM 67157, which I take to be the holotype of the species)[see label text in det. field] |

Unfortunately, there appears to be no evidence (shadowing, damage to the paper, ect.) that the specimen deposited at GH was removed from the sheet deposited at BM. Unless there is ancillary evidence that the specimen at GH was received from the collector, or by some other means, as a duplicate of the one in Nuttall's herbarium, [see note field for 3] |
