Remarks= Salix hookeriana Hook. var. piperi (Bebb) ined., det. George W. Argus, 2005. "Possibly from the same plants as the type material - "topotype."The type material, edited by Bebb, is Piper 558 (female) and 560 (male). Schneider (J.A.A. 1;222) cited both as type material 558 (F 2462) and 560 (F2464). Dorn (Brittania 52:17) noted that Piper 560 was selected as lectotype by Schneider 1920, but he only selected both sheets as "type material." Dorn's citations may be seen as validation of Schneider's selection but not as selection of lectotype."
