Taylor comments: The collection number "Purpus 10757" was used for many gatherings on different dates, and it is not likely that this specimen, without collection date, is not from the type gathering of Chione mexicana Standl. = Chione venosa (Sw.) Urb. var. mexicana (Standl.) D. W. Taylor (Det. by D. W. Taylor, 2001)
