Determination Carex merritt-fernaldii Mackenzie
Determined byA. A. Reznicek
Date Determined2008
Determination Remarks [current name]
Annotation TextDespite being a little "out of range," I agree with Peter Ball (and K. K. Mackenzie) that this is a piece of Carex merrit-fernaldii. Note the papillose sheaths and the relatively elongate inflorescence, with the perigynia not squarrose-spreading in the spikes.
