| Habitat | Rich woods and steep ravines with calcareous seepage swamps in bottoms due to marl deposits. Forest of Fagus grandifolia, Acer rubrum, Quercus michauxii, Carya sp., and scattered Fraxinus pennsylvanica. Seepages with Nysa sylvatica and Taxodium dominant in swamps w/ shrubs of Lindera benzoin. Saururus crenuus, Boehmeria cylindrica and Asarum canadense ommon in herb layer. Growing on bark of Taxodium. |
