| Remarks | Female flowers receptive only after male flowers on the same branch have dried off. Any single palm has 2 developing inflorescences free at the same time. Mature fruit red, with x-section showing a clear lobe-shaped endosperm, (+/- 3 lobed). Fronds 6 ft. 5 in. from top of sheath to apex, sheath to 24 in., top of sheath to first leaflet 23 in. Longest leaflet c. 24 in. long x 2 in. wide. Interval between leaflets variable, 1-3 1/2 in. Top of young leaf sheaths with ferruginous scales. |
