Remarks[locality from Smithsonian Contr. Knowl. 5(6): 35. 1853. The first locality is probably Wright's field #502 1st coll. 1851, "15 June, stony hills near Smith's Run", Jeff Davis Co., Texas. The second is #94 2nd coll. 1851, "31 July, valley at Mule Creek" in Luna Co., New Mexico. There is no way to tell which of these two localities this specimen represents since Gray didn't write down the field number on the label of this duplicate.]
