Remarks

[description continued] stipules prominent, green, forming an axillary ligule with 2 carinal crests, typically 4-5 cm long; leaf venation penninerved in each lobe, main veins conspicuous, reticulum mostly hidden; inflorescence terminal, umbellate through 3 orders, primary rays to approx. 35 cm long, inserted over the surface of a dilate and somewhat clavate pedestal, entirely glabrous; peduncle with a stipitate head of pseudofruits at its summit, each of the lateral branches ascending and ending in an umbellule of bisexual flowers, the lateral axes distinctly articulate and about halfway up, pedicels to c. 15 mm.
