| Remarks | Prostrate shrub, lying over rock faces on open hillside. Corolla fleshy, scarlet wirh dark nectar pouches. Filaments scarlet, anthers black. Style scarlet, ovary brown-scarlet. Calyx. fleshy, green, lobes scarlet. Pedicels green, leaves matt dark green above, pale green below, viens prominent. Only 1- or 2- flowered. Common, but only on the S side of the Pass, its places being taken by No. 3942 on the N side. Annotated as "R. forrestii Balf. f. ex Diels subsp. papillatum Chamb. X ?" |
