RemarksValley: one side with areas of very closely cropped Kobresia meadow and mostly low bushland with Salix, Sibirea, and some Rhododendron, densest along side valley with dry stream bed; the other side with more open bushland and area of consolidated scree. Perennial herb, to 30 cm high when growing amongst bushes, much shorter in meadow; involucre blackish purple. Growing on rock outcrops and in short turf
