| Remarks | Specimen has sporophytes. A type specimen is not designated in the protologue (photocopy included in packet). The label says "materia originalis", and "leg. et det. L.P. Khanna", however. In addition, Proskauer (1954) wrote on the packet that this specimen is a neotype. Index Hepaticarum also lists this as a possible neotype. Therefore, my red annotation label reads "probable isoneotype". This specimen is Verdoorn, Hepaticae Selectae et Criticae (series VIII), no. 353. |
