Remarkshabitat is very peculiar being along the runs that drain the swamp where Darlingtonia californica and other bog plants of southern Oregon grow. These bogs are different from anything that I know of being springs that furnish no grate amount of water but are sometimes several acres in extant. This violet grows along the little streams and not in the bogs [letter in packet]
