RemarksType clearly stated by Fernald as "Labrador: without definite locality, coll. by members of the Unitas Fratrum (TYPE in Gray Herb.)." The specimen collected near Okkak by Weitz is a paratype; the annotations by both Bayer (1980) and Chmielewski (1989) indicating that specimen to be the holotype are incorrect. The holotype is the specimen in the lower right corner of the sheet; paratype upper right; two additional, later collections are in the two left hand corners
