| Remarks | vols. 1 and 2 were issued in parts of 80 pages; the precise dates of the parts lacking. 'Pfeiffer often indicates type-species for generic names which constitute in many cases the first selection of a lectotype. In this "praefatio" he states: "species plantarum in libro meo omnio negliguntur, excepta in- dicatione illarum, quae typum generis novi aut novo modo circumscripti vel sectionis offerunt."'
